Literacy Opens Doors to Success

Our programs provide the basic reading and writing skills children need to succeed in primary school and beyond

Building Foundations for Success

Good Start partners with rural schools by providing high-caliber Thai teachers to teach foundational literacy skills to kindergarten children so that they are ready to enter primary school where all textbooks are in Thai. Our teachers presently give Thai language lessons to 110 kindergarten children at 2 rural schools outside of Hua Hin.

We have since complemented this literacy program with a numeracy program to introduce the children to mathematics.

We have supported our core literacy and numeracy programs by renovating 5 kindergarten classrooms and provision of enrollment packages of school clothing and learning materials for all kindergarten children.
